So he requested that the lyricists revamp the words to make it a love song rather than a break-up song. Rich and Friedman penned completely new lyrics, keeping just the title from the first version of the song.

Run to You is a 1993 song for The Bodyguard Soundtrack Album. It was written by Jud Friedman and Allah Rich. The song was first intended to be a break-up song.
