Robert Barisford "Bobby" Brown (born February 5, 1969) is an African-American rapper, singer-songwriter, dancer & actor.
Relationship with Whitney
Bobby met Whitney at the 1989 Soul Train Music Awards. Shortly after they began a friendship; Whitney even invited him to her 26th Birthday Party in 1989. In 1991, their friendship developed into a romantic relationship and in April 1992, Bobby proposed to Whitney. Their wedding was held on July 18, 1992 at Whitney's New Jersey Estate.
In 1993, Bobby collaborated with Whitney in a song called Something In Common. They performed the song on many occasions such as: 1994 Soul Train Music Awards and Bodyguard Tour Concert: Rio de Janeiro (1994) . In 1993, Bobby's forth child and only child with Whitney; Bobbi Kristina was borned.
Personal Issues
At an early age Brown devolved alcoholism and was diagnosed with ADD, and bipolar disorder. In 2003, Brown was arrested for misdemeanor battery, allegedly for striking Houston while shouting derogatory terms. In February 2004, he was arrested and jailed in Georgia because of a parole violation related to a prior drunk driving conviction. In June 2004, he was sentenced to 90 days in prison for missing three months of child-support payments (which was later rebuked). Throughout 2012-13 Brown was arrested multiple times for DUIs
